Welcome ISECON 2006 Welcome to the Information Systems Educator’s Conference (ISECON). I express my gratitude and extend my heartfelt welcome to all participants who are attending to present the results of your scholarly work, or are here to share common information systems education experiences. Thank you for choosing to attend this conference. Thanks to the General Chair, Dr. Marcos Sivitanides; EF Liaison, Kevin Jetton; Papers Chair, Dr. Tom Janicki; Program Chair, Dr. Alan Peslak; and Proceedings Chair, Dr. Don Colton for all the hard work necessary for a successful conference. Their hard work is genuinely appreciated. The AITP Special Interest Group (EDSIG) partners with the Foundation for Information Technology Education (EF) of the Association of Information Technology Professionals to produce the annual ISECON conference. For nearly 25 years, ISECON has provided a venue for sharing and learning the best practices in our profession. On behalf of the EDSIG Board, I would like to extend our gratitude to those who participate each year, presenting papers, volunteering, reviewing papers, and provide your continued attendance. I encourage you to take part in all of the activities of ISECON 2006 and also find time to enjoy all that the “Big D” has to offer. With plenty of southwestern charm and modern sophistication, Dallas offers arts, culture, and shopping, all nearby and an easy connection with the DART light rail system that will take you to the West End and downtown Dallas. We also invite you to join us for ISECON 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA for what promises to be another exciting and rewarding convention. Sincerely, Paul M. Leidig, Ph.D. President, AITP EDSIG
