Beginning in the academic year 2006-2007 all of the AACSB-accredited business schools need to “Identify Learning Goals, Objectives and Outcomes Assessment Strategies Used to Improve Student Learning and Curriculum Development.” This will be a panel presentation and discussion of the new AACSB Assurance of Learning standards Panel Discussant Backgrounds: Prof. Stephen Klein, Convener Information Systems Group, Anisfield School of Business, Ramapo College (sklein@ramapo.edu). Ramapo College is in the pre-accreditation candidacy stage of AACSB accreditation. As the Co-Chair of the Teaching, Assessment and Program (TAP) Committee, the Committee is charged with developing learning goals, objectives, and outcomes assessment strategies for the curriculum consistent with the new AACSB standards. Dr. John Molluzzo, Chair Information Systems Department Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, Pace University (jmolluzzo@pace.edu). Pace University is an AACSB-accredited business school and recently went though the reaccreditation process. The School is also seeking ABET re-accreditation. Dr. Molluzzo plans to discuss his experiences in the AACSB and ABET accreditation process. Dr. Daniel Farkas, Chair Information Systems Department Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, Pace University (dfarkas@pace.edu). Pace University is an AACSB accredited business school and recently went though the reaccreditation process. The School is also seeking ABET re-accreditation. Dr. Farkas plans to discuss his experiences in the AACSB and ABET accreditation process. Ms. Jan Brocker, PhD Candidate, University of Denver, College of Education (jbrocker@du.edu). Ms. Brocker is conducting a national study regarding faculty attitudes toward learning assessment activities associated with the AACSB assurance of learning standards. She should have her analysis completed by late summer and plans to discuss the results of the study. Description of Presentation Ramapo College is in the pre-accreditation candidacy stage of AACSB accreditation. Pace University was re-accredited by the AACSB in 2005, and was recently visited by ABET for re-accreditation of its BS/IS program. Pace’s Information Systems program is one of approximately six in the nation that has dual accreditation. Pace is a multi-campus university. Dr. Dan Farkas is Chair of the Information Systems Department at the Pleasantville campus and Dr. John C. Molluzzo is Chair of the Information Systems Department at the New York City campus.  Drs. Farkas and Molluzzo will discuss the assessment process relative to these accrediting organizations.
