Each year Fellows are inducted in honor of their sustained, long-term, meaningful and effective support of ISCAP in its ongoing mission to improve IS Education, mentor IS students, and foster the careers of IS faculty.
Dana Schwieger

Dr. Dana Schwieger is a full professor in the College of Business and Computing at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) in Cape Girardeau. During her tenure at Southeast, she has taught courses in management information systems, healthcare information systems, and accounting information systems. Dana has served as the faculty advisor for SEMO’s Collegiate chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America for over fifteen years. She has also served as a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission, a co-associate editor for ISEDJ, a track co-chair for ISECON, and a reviewer for JISE.
Dana has received multiple awards including SEMO’s Provost’s Research, Instruction and Development for Excellence Award, the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year Award, the Harrison College of Business and Computing Student Choice Award, the SEMO MBA Graduate Faculty Award, the Missouri Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education , the Missouri Phi Beta Lambda Advisor of the Year Award, the SEMO Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award, the Success in Scholarship Sports Service Graduate Studies Award, the Copper Dome Faculty Fellow Teaching award, and the SEMO Campus Being a Difference Award sponsored by the NASBA Center for Public Trust. In addition, she has received multiple distinguished, meritorious, and best paper awards, published over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, and given over 30 presentations at academic conferences.
Dana is active in her community through her volunteer work with the Access Friends ministry for people with developmental challenges, providing tech support for classes at her church, serving at Camp Barnabas, and volunteering at SEMO Pets, the local animal shelter.
Dana would like to thank ISCAP for the opportunities the organization has provided. ISCAP’s supportive research community and IS education-focused presentation and publishing outlets have played an instrumental role in helping her to achieve her goals in the promotion and tenure process.
