More courses are being delivered in part or totally through Internet technologies. There are different on-line course delivery packages available, such as Blackboard, WebCT, Orion and others. This panel will present the experiences and insights from four individuals on various course delivery options as well a lively discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of the options. Panelists include: * David Zolzer - Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, LA. David has extensive use with WebCT and Blackboard and will give comparisons between the packages. * John Reynolds - Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI. For three years, John has used eCollege for on-online course delivery and Blackboard for on-line support of traditional classes. He will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each package. * Tom Janicki - University of North Carolina - Wilmington, Wilmington, NC. Tom was one of the developers of the Orion on-line course system and will compare Orion to other packages. * Bruce White - Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT. Bruce has developed on-courses without the use of packages and will compare the concepts of developing interactive course sites with Blackboard and with active server pages, and will be the moderator of this panel. * Don Colton - Brigham Young University Hawaii, Laie, HI. Don has developed GradeBot, an automatic system for grading computer programming assignments and providing feedback to students for non-GUI programs written in C, C++, Java, Perl, MIPS assembler, and Tcl.
