This presentation outlines the proposed MSIS 2006 curriculum and the rationale behind it. The committee held three public meetings to date, one each at AMCIS 2003, ICIS 2003, and AMCIS 2004 to hear about your experiences, successes, failures, and suggested improvements for the MSIS Graduate Curriculum. We have listened to the IS community and have made modifications to the curriculum. The committee has prepared a rough draft of MSIS 2006 Graduate Curriculum model for review and feedback to the proposed changes. The purpose of this fourth meeting is to present the proposed draft changes for your review and comment. The new curriculum recognizes that the existing curriculum is restrictive as the scope of the IS field grows broader. We need the feedback now in order to prepare a “strawman” draft by the beginning of 2005. We plan a “steelman” draft for August 2005. The publication target is January 2006.
