The Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET has recently revised their accreditation criteria. The revised criteria for Information Systems programs, as well as for computer science and information technology, are being phased in over several years. A second round of pilot visits is being made in the 2007-08 cycle, and all evaluations will fall under the revised criteria in 2009-10. The panel will discuss these revisions and the increased importance of assessment in the accreditation process.
