Cloud Tools for Teaching IT

Information technologies grow and change at a rapid rate. Coding languages, data management systems, and data analysis tools diversify. The tools we use and the platforms we use them on change. Every year cloud technologies are becoming more common in the industry. This causes or should cause a shift in how we teach in universities. Professors are trying to learn and teach these latest trends in class. However, information on this is spread out, and it is hard to gather enough information to make an educated decision. While following the latest trends is time-consuming, they also bring a potential solution to the existing issue of teaching IT. In the classroom, teachers have two options. They can either have computers in class or make students bring their computers. The difficulty in both situations is providing a standard environment that students can follow. Teachers can have limited access to software, or the operating systems may not support one of the tools. They may not be able to teach the tools they want to teach. Cloud platforms could easily provide a standard environment on virtual machines. This research aims to provide an in-depth analysis of existing practices in the field. This analysis will underscore the advantages while covering the potential difficulties in implementation.
