Improving Public Speaking through Virtual Reality

Objectives
In this hands-on workshop participants will learn about opportunities around improving public speaking through VR. Utilizing Virtual Speech, each participant will have the opportunity to practice speaking in front of a virtual audience. We will discuss lessons learned as we deployed this technology in an Effective Speaking class. We'll further explore how else this technology could be used in an academic setting. No prior experience is needed, and participants do not need to bring anything with them to the workshop (although, if they bring their ISCAP presentation then they can use that as a practice lesson). This workshop is funded through the Department of Education Grant P116Z230123
