Objectives
With the rise of LLM and Generative AI systems, along with the increasing popularity of low code / no code platforms in organizations, the relevance of teaching programming to information systems students is under increasing scrutiny. This discussion will suggest approaches for success in teaching programming in the IS curriculum including ways to demonstrate to students its continued relevance given industry trends.
