Objectives
This workshop introduces a Power BI learning resource developed for MyEducator by John Miko and Stephen Owen. The resource guides students through the process of connecting to and preparing data, building relational models, creating DAX calculations, and designing interactive reports. Attendees will explore the instructional approach through sample lessons, video demonstrations, and applied exercises. The session will also consider ways to incorporate the material into existing courses and help students move beyond creating charts to answering meaningful business questions.
Targeted Attendees
Faculty teaching information systems, business analytics, data visualization, accounting, finance, or related business courses who are interested in incorporating Power BI into their curriculum. No prior Power BI experience is required.
