Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming industries worldwide. Yet, students and practitioners often lack access to the diverse perspectives needed to adapt to this evolution. This paper introduces the Healthcare Digital Convergence (HDC) Chat Series, an open access educational platform developed to enhance learning and engagement with AI practices. The HDC Chat Series features global voices from technologists, inventors, policymakers, clinicians, and Nobel laureates. These conversations provide cross-disciplinary perspectives that bridge gaps between technological innovation, professional practice, and classroom instruction. The study examines how the HDC Chat Series has been integrated into business analytics courses, emphasizing its role in exposing students to authentic, real-world discussions on AI and digital transformation. Preliminary results show that students engaging with the series developed stronger awareness of responsible AI adoption, and an improved ability to connect classroom concepts with industry practices leveraging the healthcare industry. These findings highlight the value of incorporating expert-driven media into the curriculum as a complement to traditional lectures and assignments. The HDC Chat Series, through its open access format, makes international thought leadership more accessible to students and practitioners who might not otherwise have the chance to engage with these global perspectives. This ongoing work advances the conversation on augmenting AI in education by presenting a scalable model for embedding interview-based content and emerging AI practices into teaching, deepening student engagement and broadening perspectives in information systems and AI education.
